In addition to designing and building new tiki huts and bars Big Kahuna Tiki Huts also rethatches pre-existing tiki huts that are in need of new roofs.
One recent rethatching job was completed in Naples, Florida. This job would take the workers up two stories and about 30 feet above the ground. Safety harnesses were requried to be used while the crew took off the old thatch and reinstalled new fresh cut palm fronds.
The tiki structure was 72 feet long running across the second floor porch and was 18 feet wide.
